| Angela Rayner's statement clearly shows why Labour is not fit to govern. Her prescription for economic recovery is 1) 'put money back into the everyday economy' (i.e. subsidise household electricity costs) 2) '(raise) the minimum wage' (i.e. discourage employers from offering entry level jobs to unemployed young people) 3) 'double down on renters' reform (i.e. reduce the number of properties for rent by making life unreasonably difficult for landlords 4) promote 'devolution revolution'(i.e. fragment the country even more) 5) 'boost community ownership' and 'face down demands that the public pay the price of private failure' (i.e. renationalise bus and train services as well as the water utility without compensation) 6) 'invest in the green economy' (i.e. subsidise wind turbines while halting oil exploration) 7) 'tackle the inflow of dodgy money into our politics' (i.e. attack Nigel Farage for the gift he received to enhance his personal safety before he became an MP while conveniently forgetting the freebies which she and other Labour ministers received in the year of their election) 8) '(unblocking) Andy Burnham' (i.e. parachuting into government an advocate of her own soft-left policies which would further ruin the country's economy). |
