| You can google Putney High Street, as I remember it, I worked in Putney from 1968 in Deodor Rd, at Spaldings Golf, A Jill Hammersly, was only young as well and was working there they sponsored her, she became a professional table tennis player. Then I went to ICL over the Bridge. But Putney had loads of Shoe Shops, Mr.John clothes, Selwins, The Old Wimpy, Carpet Shop Felsham Rd, The Hipperdrome Felsham Rd, 2 Cimemas ABC and Odeon. Clarks Bakery and Restaurant. Big Boots corner of Norroy Rd. Dewhurst Butchers. Richards Shop, Woolworths. Who can remember anymore. The big market where the Putney Exchange is. The Post Sorting Office was in Lacy Rd. |
