Recently two Jewish people were killed and three left in a serious condition after a car ramming and stabbing attack outside a synagogue in Manchester. The suspect, who was shot dead at the scene, has been named as 35-year-old Jihad Al-Shamie, a British citizen of Syrian descent. At the time of the deadly attack on Heaton Park Hebrew Congregation Synagogue, Al-Shamie was on bail after being arrested on suspicion of rape. A post on Faraj Al-Shamie's Facebook page, which had been verified by the BBC but has since been removed, appeared to praise the 7 October attack by Hamas. Who authorised his citizenship ?
