Sue, why do you think he flips back to supporting Russia, the obvious agressor, everything after talking to Putin? I can't see his logic, although I can understand he doesn't want to plough US money into a war. 

I can see his reluctance to supply Tomahawks because of his concerns over escalation but the reports today of him shouting and swearing at Zelensky, throwing maps on the floor, etc don't seem rational to me. I bet if Starmer did that you'd be criticising him.

It's good he wants to save lives but if it rewards Russian aggression will it be a lasting peace?

Still, the White House is getting a nice new Ballroom, seemingly at the expense of wealthy business people (I wonder if AWS have donated, perhaps their money would be better spent on staff training in DNS configuring :-) )
