There are several groups that are looking at protecting our rights to roam which like all rights were hard fought. Don't lose your way was the campaign to get these ancient paths mapped ahead of government legislation to remove access. I believe the Labour party now supports the government policy. The Ramblers have a link below that will lead to a map which shows some routes that have been recorded as part of the campaign.
