Interesting headline unfortunately the article does not seem to add anything just a copy and paste job as far as I can see. https://www.theguardian.com/world/2021/jul/23/low-traffic-schemes-halve-number-of-road-injuries-study-shows Linking through to the actual article - link below it seems the comparison group is just plain wrong IMO. You could probably take and local area and compare with 3) below surely? 3) contains all the main roads for example which were less impacted by covid: 1) Injuries inside the LTN, defined as injuries at least 25m inside the LTN boundary. 2) Injuries on LTN boundary roads, defined being located less than 25m from an LTN boundary road. 3) All other injuries elsewhere in London (our comparison group). https://findingspress.org/article/25633-impacts-of-2020-low-traffic-neighbourhoods-in-london-on-road-traffic-injuries |
