I am pleased to report that there are several breeding pairs of skylarks in the park. This is despite the idiot dog walkers allowing their dogs off the lead in the breeding grounds, ignoring the signs asking for dogs to be kept on a lead in that area. The two areas to see the skylarks are in the field on the other side of the rugby fields across the (now dry) stream. And the other area is up past two storms wood in the grass area between the wood and Sheen common gate. Their song of an evening is definitely one of life's little pleasures. All the best, Denzil |
