Richard. Whiskey looks like he was a fine cat. It's always difficult to know what to do when a cat passes on, they're individuals so can't be replaced but do leave a void. We acquire two cats in the mid 80s from some neighbours who couldn't cope with three in a top florr bedsit ?? So Tom and Greystone came to like with us ...

Greystoke sadly died aged 16 leaving Tom on his own. We noticed Tom was a bit restless with Greystoke not being around so the famous Felicity can to live with us from Cats Protection. Unfortunately, Felicity was a bit bouncy Tom wanted a quite life; so  Cats Protection had the answer: another young cat, Jim, who could play with Felicity but help keep to company!

News must have go around about our cat hotel because Alf from next door started visiting ... he eventually came to live with us with the permission of our neighbours who had another cat - and a litter of kittens!  Alf was whisked off the the vet promptly after he joined us but hasn't shown any paternal signs ...

So we had four cats until Tom passed on at 18. Sadly, Jim then Alf passed on at 17+ last year leaving Felicity on her own - which she seems to like.

Anyway, Richard if you're considering another cat I'm sure Cats Protection would love to hear from you
