I agree, and the horrifying thing in this case is that Begum has shown no remorse, with a tape recording played on Sky News of her own voice, stating that when confronted with a decapitated head in a basket, she said that she "was not fazed by it".  This was edited out in later broadcasts. Why are so many formerly polite well-behaved children from happy moderate families being "radicalised"?  Are they being subjected to MK Ultra or the Monarch Programme, both well documented and used to control the minds of soldiers going to war? How did three 15 year olds in hijab get through heightened security and who paid for their tickets? The one question I feel sure of is that in this case, her Dutch husband, radicalised in the middle class area of Arnhem, should return home to the Hague to face war crime charges, and she should accompany him.  In 2017 Dutch prosecutors called for several suspected jihadists, including Riedijk, her husband, to return home to be tried.  They were tried in absentia and if he returned, he would apparently have to face a jail sentence. It says much that this 19-year-old has already had two children, and the baby she is currently carrying should be taken into care as soon as it is born.  Whether one subscribes to Nature or Nurture, this child will arrive in the world with the odds for a good outcome in life stacked against it.
