Another planning application has been put forward to construct 5 apartments (three x 1-bed and 2 x 2-bed) over 30 Putney High Street, which appears to involve the loss of 19sqm from the restaurant and 33sqm from existing office space.
I have spoken to a distressed Mr Turi, who has run this outstanding family restaurant for many years, and he is deeply concerned that the closure of the restaurant during building works and loss of existing space will harm a business which has taken years to build up and given Putney a glorious eatery in what Time Out describes as "a neighbourhood overrun with soulless chains". |
